I have always had a strong attraction to anything and everything 3D, as well as art in general. I remember being exposed to animation at an early age, in movies such as The Last Star Fighter, Tron, and many others, as well as being a big fan of special effects. I have always known that art would be in my future.

I come from a family of artists. I have an older brother, Eric, who is a graphic artist and photographer, a younger sister, Kim that is graduating from UT Knoxville with a degree in fine art, and a younger sister, Elizabeth who is constantly drawing and working on projects. My sister-in-law Tiffany is a fiber & mixed media artist. Our parents have always encouraged us in pursuing these talents. I enjoy going to art galleries and lately have began exhibiting my own art.

One of the most influential movies in my life has been Star Wars. That sparked my interest in drawing, and I began drawing and designing my own characters. Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, King Kong, Legend, Never Ending Story, Clash of the Titans, Flash Gordon, The Alien movies, All of Pixars and Wetas work along with many more have also inspired me.

I began taking art lessons from Mr. Marion Cook around the age of nine or ten. His son, Barry Cook, was working for Disney at the time, and this is when I first thought about animation.

My brother, Eric and I also began collecting comic books around this time. The art of comic books were huge in my life for a long time. The main artists that influenced me were Travis Charest, Jim Lee, Mike Mignola, and Joe Maduera. I designed and redid so many characters that for a while, I considered comic book art might be my path. I still have a large collection!

The art from video games has sparked new styles, visions and new attitudes about many things, and I have been obsessed with it for years. It has provided great inspiration for me, as well as being play and participate in something original every time you pick up that new game.

Music is also a big part of my life. The sound, look and feel of the band is a direct expression of their music and I find that amazing and inspirational. I really enjoy going to as many shows as I can in my free time, and also enjoy looking at the cover art of the CD’s. I am defiantly a music Snob.

I believe that people should follow what they are passionate about, and was very privileged to do so while attending Full Sail in Winter Park, Florida this past couple of years. I received my Associate of Science in Computer Animation degree with the June class of 2005.

I have had the privilege to do some free lance at a local studio Magnetic Dreams while in Nashville, and have enjoyed this immensely!

I have decided to make my main focus in Animation be Modeling, as I love to see the process from beginning to end, and see the model completed and working in an animation.

I am looking forward to living my dream, and to sharing my love of art. We are at a time for big changes in our industry, and I want more than anything to be part of that future.
